You can earn while you actually spend with your Union Card in India and Abroad. You can avail benefit of attractive reward schemes launched by the bank from time to time*.
Rewards Programs currently in operation (w.e.f. 20.05.2009)
Scheme-I: Redemption of Reward Points Accumulated up to 20.06.2009
• Eligibility: Union Cardholders with accumulated reward points outstanding in their card account as of 20.06.2009 will be eligible for availing the benefits of the scheme, except cancelled / closed card accounts.
• Period of the Scheme: The scheme will be open for redemption of accumulated reward points from 21.06.2009 at 10.00 A.M. to 20.05.2010 at 5.00 P.M.
How to apply for redemption of reward points?
You can redeem your accumulated reward points by submitting your request in the prescribed form (enclosed Redemption form-I) to the Card issuing branch / Credit Card Division, Union Bank of India, 239, Nariman Point, Mumbai – 400 021 during the validity of the period. The amount determined against the accumulated reward points will be credited to card account.
In case the accumulated reward points are not redeemed during the scheme period (i.e. 21.06.2009 to 20.05.2010), the same shall be deemed to have lapsed.
Note: The scheme is offered solely at the discretion of Union Bank and the Bank reserves the right to change, modify or terminate the rewards scheme at any point in time without prior notice to cardholders.
Scheme-II: New Rewards Programme effective from 21.06.2009
Under the new Rewards Programme effective from 21.06.2009, Union Cardholders can earn one reward point for every Rs.100/- spent using the Union card. However, cash withdrawals will not qualify for reward points. Similarly, transactions where surcharge levied is refunded, also do not qualify for reward points.
• Eligibility: All Union Cardholders who earn reward points under the new rewards programme w.e.f. 21.06.2009 will be eligible for availing the benefits of the scheme*.
• Redemption Method: The cardholder can redeem the reward points at any time on an ongoing basis. The minimum number of reward points that can be redeemed on each occasion is 500. However, there is no maximum cap. The amount determined against reward points will be credited to card account.
